Abstract / Bemerkung
The concept of Asset Administration Shells (AAS), which enables the implementation of digital twins, is important for advancing Industry 4.0 by facilitating the standardized, machine-readable integration of diverse industrial systems. This paper presents the implementation of a Digital Twin for the Autonomous Mini Robot (AMiRo), a modular robot platform used in research and education. The Digital Twin replicates both the physical and software components of AMiRo, enabling centralized management, maintenance, and remote control. Key contributions include the practical application of Digital Twin standards, enhancing student and researcher interaction with the robots, and demonstrating the benefits of standardization in improving interoperability and reducing development efforts.
