Abstract / Bemerkung
Existing tactile sensor systems typically offer only moderate frame rates below 100 Hz for a size of 16x16
texels1. We present a modular tactile sensor system which offers a very high frame rate of up to 1300hz,
enabling the detection of high-frequency vibrations. The sensor data is streamed to a host computer
employing the standard USB video protocol. The modular design facilitates the usage in different
rectangular sensor layouts, which are autonomously discovered on startup. We report on the system
design and performance characteristics of this sensor system.
