Abstract / Bemerkung
Graph based representations provide an appropriate framework to realize computer vision systems that are able to gain and generalize knowledge. In this contribution we present a system that uses graphs to recognize mechanical assemblies in a dynamic construction environment. Equipped with little a priori knowledge the system analyzes image data and autonomously generates relational models of complex objects. These models represent topological relations among the parts of an assembly and enable comprehensive reasoning. As another application of this method we present the stereo based 3D reconstruction of assembled objects.
