Abstract. Trust towards robots impacts their acceptance and adoption in society. It is commonly measured using self-reports or exploring behaviors that indicate trust. The present work provides a brief overview of existing methods to measure trust in HRI, their benefits, and methodological limitations. Given the limitations associated with available measures of robot-related trust, we propose to recon-sider trust. That is, for one, we address trust in terms of a mental state, and more-over, in terms of an intention. This way, we complement existing theorization and measurement of trust in HRI.
