Abstract / Bemerkung
Flavin-dependent halogenases gained interest as biocatalysts because under mild reaction conditions they can regioselectively halogenate non-native substrates in electronically less activated positions. In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Lewis, Houk, and co-workers combine quantum mechanical and docking calculations to computationally explain the site selectivity of these enzymes.
