Abstract / Bemerkung
Feelings of ownership towards a robot may impact how robot users perceive and interact with it. In an online experiment, we explored the influence of psychological ownership (PO) on trust and self-disclosure towards robots. To manipulate PO participants either imagined owning a robot (PO condition) or imagined a walk in nature (control condition). The results show that PO influenced perceived likeability of the robot, but not anthropomorphism, trust, and self-disclosure to it.
