Abstract / Bemerkung
Difficult/dissonant heritage is conceptualized as a historical and cultural phenomenon from the perspective of museology. The theoretical prerequisites for the formation of this type of heritage are considered, the structure of the concept of “dissonant” heritage is analyzed. The museum's interpretation of difficult heritage is explored, the influence of the concept of trauma on the cultural biography of such objects is outlined, and attention is paid to the material and intangible components of museum objects related to this type of heritage. Examples are given from Russian and foreign practice of museum interpretation of dissonant heritage.
