Abstract / Bemerkung
We introduce a novel relaxed Ka\v canov scheme for the computation of the discreteminimizer to thep-Laplace problem with 2\leq p<\infty . The iterative scheme is easy to implement sinceeach iterate results only from the solve of a weighted, linear Poisson problem. It neither requiresan additional line search nor involves unknown constants for the step length. The scheme convergesglobally, and its rate of convergence is independent of the underlying mesh under certain regularityassumptions on the (discrete) solution.
