<dc:title>Migraciones en el marco de la desigualdad</dc:title>
<bibo:abstract>Migration has always been linked to inequalities. Both phenomena have worsened in recent decades in all regions of the planet. Within this framework, the mobility of people in its various facets, origin, transit and destination forces us to think about the productive system, the permanent crisis of capitalism and the impacts produced by the political responses of states - often supported by civil society organisations.
Against this backdrop, two sequential special issues have been called for, with the explicit aim of shedding light on the multiple exchange of migrations and inequalities in the regions of Latin America and Europe.
The special issue Migrations in the context of inequalities addresses the connection by examining borders and boundary-making processes, which are gradually transforming in the context of increasingly strict migration management in Europe and Latin America. The special issue Migrations and Inequalities in Times of Pandemic Crisis is dedicated in particular to the effects of the pandemic and pursues the question of how this phenomenon has intensified inequalities in migration processes in the regions.</bibo:abstract>
