While the dose-effect association between the number of experienced war traumatic events andnegative mental ill-health outcomes is well-documented within current psychotraumatologyliterature, there is a dearth of scientific research on the impacts of non-war and life adversityevents (such as family-childhood trauma and intimate partner violence, and resources loss)on the mental health of war-affected populations.
