**Abstract**
This outline serves as basic analysis of the methods used to systematically reconstruct literary satire in the extant literary scholarship. The first section of the outline (1) contains a brief general introduction to the discussion of satire in the field of poetics. In the second section (2), which is the main concern of this outline, I discuss the four main methods used to reconstruct the concept of literary satire in recent decades.
