Abstract / Bemerkung
Hopwood provided an Interpersonal Situation Model and a much-needed treatise of within-situation and between-situation dynamics towards a more dynamic understanding of pathological and non-pathological personality. My commentary zooms in on how pathology-relevant situations and their characteristics (single or as profiles) as well as pathology-relevant person. situation transactions (situation management) could be approached and used to understand ongoing dynamics better. I maintain that these areas are understudied so far, but would provide important and novel insights, especially in terms of the ideas that Hopwood proposed in his target article.
