Abstract / Bemerkung
The author concentrates on the role of the judges of the European Court of Human Rights in the support of
democratic norms. The paper is dedicated to the way the Court’s judgments provide support for democratic norms. The main goal of the paper is to analyze the correlation between the social and professional characteristics of the group of the ECHR judges as the actor of the norms’ support and the judgments as the outcome of the norms’ support. To achieve the goal the author focuses on the comparative analysis of the judges’ education and career.
