Abstract / Bemerkung
The diphosphenyl complex (eta-5-C5Me5)-(CO)2Fe-P = P-Mes* (Mes* = 2,4,6-tBu3C6H2) undergoes a [1 + 4] cheletropic cycloaddition with the azodicarboxylates RO2C-N = N-CO2R (R = Et, tBu) to give the metal-substituted oxadiazaphospholenes (eta-5-C5Me5) (CO)2Fe-P-Activated(= P-Mes*)[N(CO2R)N = C(OR)O] with exocyclic P = P bonds. The molecular structure of one of the compounds (R = Et) was elucidated by a single-crystal X-ray analysis.
