Abstract / Bemerkung
Mesoskopische Simulationsmethoden wie Dissipative Particle Dynamics erlauben die Untersuchung eines Soft-Matter-Systems auf langen Zeit- und großen Längenskalen. Verschiedene elektrokinetische Effekte wie der elektroosmotische Fluss, Polyelektrolyt-Dynamik in freier Salzlösung und Elektrophorese von Polyelektrolyten in Mikrokanälen wurden im Detail untersucht. Die Bedeutung der hydrodynamischen Randbedingungen wird dabei deutlich. Analytische Resultate wurden ebenfalls erzielt, welche in guter Übereinstimmung mit den Simulationsergebnissen sind.
Mesoscopic simulation methods like Dissipative Particle Dynamics allow to study long time and length scales in soft matter systems. Several electrokinetic effects like electroosmotic flow, polyelectrolyte dynamics in salty solution and electrophoresis of polyelectrolytes in microchannels habe been studied in detail. The importance of the hydrodynamic boundary conditions is further addressed. Analytical results have been further derived which are in good agreement to the simulation results.
