Abstract / Bemerkung
In this work the concept of identification is applied in the theory of prediction. Using the framework of Shannon's channel model a new concept of information transfer - called identification - was introduced by Ahlswede and Dueck. Prediction is studied according to the model of Feder, Merhav and Gutman. The notion of identifiability of a sequence of data is introduced and studied.
