Abstract / Bemerkung
The two-body correlation function G2(t) associated with the interaction - induced depolarized light scattering in monoatomic fluids can be calculated analytically assuming that the diffusion equation properly describes the relative motion of atoms. Molecular dynamics /MD/ simulations of argon have been used to test the predictions of the theoretical model. A remarkable similarity between MD and the theoretical results has been observed for the time > 1 ps.
