Abstract / Bemerkung
The temperature dependence of T-1 of H-1 in S 1/2 molecular magnet V-15 was measured below 3.5 T, including the critical field H-C = 2.9 T, where the ground state changes from \1/2, -1/2> to \3/2, -3/2>. The relaxation rate 1/T-1 decreases remarkably with decreasing temperature except around the level crossing fields of Hsimilar or equal to0.3 and 2.9 T. The results were analysed in terms of the thermal fluctuation from the lowest state to the first excited state in each of S = 1/2 and 3/2 configurations, which are induced by spin-phonon interaction. For the level-crossing fields, the predominance of another relaxation mechanism is suggested. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
