Abstract / Bemerkung
The syntheses and crystal structures of two new polynuclear complexes are reported: infinity(1)[Cu2L1(acdca)] . CH3OH . 4H(2)O (1) and [(CuZnL2)(2)(bpete)(2)](ClO4)(4) . 4.5CH(3)OH (2) (H2L1 is the Schiff-base proligand resulted from the condensation reaction of 2,6-diformyl-4-methyl-phenol with 1,3-diamino-propane; H2L2 is a dissymmetric macrocyclic Robson proligand resulted from 2,6-diformyl-4-methyl-phenol, ethylenediamine and diethylenetriamine). The two compounds have been obtained by reacting binuclear [Cu-2] and [CuZn] complexes with the dianion of the of the acetylene-dicarboxylic acid (acdca(2-)), and, respectively, bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene, bpete. The structure of 1 consists of linear chains resulted by connecting the {Cu2L1} moieties through acdca(2-) linkers. The copper(II) ions within the chains exhibit an elongated octahedral geometry. Compound 2 contains cationic [Cu2Zn2] rectangles, with the copper(II) ions, as well as the zinc(II) ions, diagonally disposed. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
