Abstract / Bemerkung
In the present chapter novel developments in the chemistry of phosphaalkenes of the type R1C(PR2)X with dicoordinate phosphorus were reported. X represents halogenatoms or substituents based on all possible heteroatoms except noble gases, lanthanides and actinides. Progress in the family of compounds R1C(PR23)X, with tetracoordinate phosphorus, which are usually addressed as phosphorus ylides, and with a similar substitution pattern at the carbanionic centre is also considered. In comparison to the rich chemistry of phosphaalkenes including their metal complexes, and phosphorus ylides, considerable less work has been added in the last decade to their arsenic analogues, the arsaalkenes and arsenic ylides, and new results on antimony and bismuth analogues are completely missing.
