Abstract
In this paper we present a distributed and problem independent control strategy for the knowledge representation language ERNEST++, a language for signal understanding based on semantic networks. The control strategy is able to distribute the analysis in a local network by instantiating parts of the knowledge base on separate processes. To demonstrate the performance of the control strategy we use an object recognition system for a wooden construction kit.
