Abstract
One-loop corrected predictions following from the standard SU(2)L X U(1)Y theory, as well as predictions from an alternative which allows for local SU(2)L X U(1)Y violation, are confronted with the experimental data on the vector-boson masses and the electroweak mixing angle S(w)-2 (M(Z)2).
