Abstract
The synthesis of cyclopentadienyl complexes containing the polydentate C5H4CH2CH2NMe2 ligand and the Group 13 element gallium is described. The compounds (C5H4CH2CH2NMe2)GaR2 (R = Br, Me, H) are obtained in good yields by salt elimination reactions. They show an additional intramolecular coordination of the nitrogen atom in the side chain. Monomeric structures, sufficient volatilities and well-behaved fragmentation make them potential candidates for MOCVD processes.
